Britain’s European commissioner Jonathan Hill announced his resignation on Saturday after the UK’s vote to leave the EU. Valdis Dombrovskis, the Latvian vice-president responsible for the euro, will replace Hill.
Hill expressed his concern regarding the outcome of the referendum.
"As we move to a new phase, I don’t believe it is right that I should carry on as the British Commissioner as though nothing had happened," he said in a statement.
