A Taste of Autumn in Jūrmala: Seasonal Menus at 26 Restaurants

  • 2026-09-24

Autumn in Jūrmala can begin with a walk along the beach or through a pine forest, continue with a spa treatment inspired by the city’s resort traditions and end with a good meal. Jūrmala Restaurant Week invites visitors to rediscover the city through its flavours. From 5 to 18 October, 26 restaurants and cafés will offer special menus pairing local ingredients – fish, game, wild mushrooms, pumpkin, apples, berries and rye bread – with flavours from across Europe, the Caucasus, the Middle East and Asia.

This year’s menus range from fresh and lightly marinated starters to smoked and grilled dishes, as well as slow-cooked main courses. Their flavours bring together smoky, tangy, sweet and spicy notes, while sauces and accompaniments add depth and texture.

The Restaurant Week line-up includes vegetarian dishes, a tasting menu and the culinary journey “Orient Express” – a five-stop meal through Paris, Vienna, Budapest, Belgrade and Constantinople, with a choice of two dishes at each stop.

A special Restaurant Week menu can be a destination in its own right during an autumn walk or part of a longer route through the city. Participating restaurants are spread across Jūrmala, from Vaivari and Dubulti to central Majori, Dzintari, Bulduri and Lielupe. In Dubulti, guests can enjoy a meal on the beach with a sea view; in Majori, combine it with a leisurely walk along Jomas Street; and in Lielupe, take a peaceful pause by the river.

After their Restaurant Week visit, guests are invited to enjoy wellness treatments at Jūrmala’s resort hotels. Those who choose a special offer at one of the participating restaurants can receive a voucher for 20% off a spa visit or treatment at one of six resort hotels in Jūrmala. The voucher is valid from 1 to 30 November.

Special menus are available at two price points: €35 and €45. The list of participating restaurants and their menus is available at visitjurmala.lv.
