VILNIUS - Scandinavian carrier SAS plans to increase the number of its flights between Vilnius and Copenhagen from the end of March next year, with 26 flights a week instead of 21 in the last summer season.
This decision has been secured by through the Transport and Communications Ministry's de minimis flight support scheme, Lietuvos Oro Uostai (Lithuanian Airports, LTOU), Lithuania's state-owned airport operator, said on Thursday.
Currently, SAS also flies between Vilnius and Stockholm and Palanga and Copenhagen.
Besides SAS, Ryanair also flies from Kaunas to the Danish capital.
