RIGA - Riga received half of the normal monthly rainfall on Friday, with 37 mm of precipitation raining down on the Latvian capital by 9 a.m., the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Center informs.
As reported, weather forecasts suggest that the rain should subside in Riga by midday. In the afternoon, temps are expected to rise to +22 degrees centigrade as sunshine breaks through the clouds.
Over the weekend, the weather in Latvia is expected to be sunny, with only brief showers and thunder showers in places and warmer air.
Next week, a cyclone will reach Latvia from the west, bringing frequent showers, heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds.
