RIGA - Changes in taxes are not planned at the moment, Finance Minister Arvils Aseradens (New Unity) told Latvian Television this morning.
"We are not planning any tax changes," the Finance Minister said.
He pointed out that the first priority at the moment is to make government costs more efficient.
At the same time, however, Aseradens also pointed out that, once the issue of streamlining government costs is resolved, tax changes could also be considered.
"At the moment, the first priority for the government is to streamline its costs. When we have dealt with this issue, then there might be room for this, but at the moment such issues are not on the table," said Aseradens.
