President most popular politician in Latvia

RIGA (LETA) - In February of this year, President Vaira Vike-Freiberga, with 70.8 points, was the most popular politician in Latvia, and Socialist Party leader Alfreds Rubiks, with minus 22.4 points - the least popular politician.

Also scoring high in the plus column were Riga Mayor Andris Berzins - 52.9 points, Bank of Latvia President Einars Repse - 47.1 points,TB/LNNK Saeima deputy Guntars Krasts - 30.7 points, LSDSP chairman Juris Bojars - 30 points, Saeima Chairman Janis Straume - 24.2 points, Ventspils Mayor Aivars Lembergs - 23.7 points, LSDSP Saeima deputy Janis Adamsons - 17.4 points, People's Party Saeima faction head Gundars Berzins - 10.4 points, Latvia's Way Saeima deputy Karlis Leiskalns - 9.5 points.

Whereas negative ratings were registered by New Party parliament deputy Ainars Slesers (minus 8 points), TB/LNNK parliament deputy Juris Dobelis (minus 3.6 points).

Also in the plus column were Kristiana Libane, Raimonds Pauls, Silvija Dreimane (JP), Egils Baldzens (LSDSP), Janis Jurkans (PCTVL), Andrejs Pantelejevs (LC), Maris Grinblats (TB/LNNK).
