RIGA - The Italian fashion brand Dan John has been chosen to provide official outfits for the Latvian athletes and delegation at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, the Latvian Olympic Committee (LOC) informed LETA.

The design of the outfits, which will be unveiled to the public at the beginning of next year, will reportedly combine Latvian national colors and symbols with "Italian charm and modernity". The collection will include a full set of uniforms that will meet official requirements while being comfortable and functional, the LOC and the company promise.

According to LOC President Raimonds Lazdins, the new uniforms will create an atmosphere of unity and strengthen the team's sense of belonging, while representing Latvia on the international arena.

The LOC has not yet revealed how the clothing supplier was chosen and what the financial terms of the cooperation are.

The Latvian team is still in the process of forming. So far, the Latvian men's ice hockey team, men's and women's biathlon teams, and figure skaters have secured their participation in the Olympics. In other disciplines, the competition for places in the team will continue until next January.

At the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, athletes will compete in 16 winter sports disciplines in six regions of Italy. The opening of the Games is scheduled in Milan on February 6, 2026, while the closing ceremony will take place in Venice on February 22.
