DHL acquires Venipak

TALLINN – DHL is acquiring Venipak Group under a contract signed on Monday.

With the acquisition of Venipak's Estonian, Latvian, and Lithuanian branches, DHL will establish an extensive operational network in the Baltics, integrating Venipak's local infrastructure with its existing global network.

Once the agreement comes into force, Venipak will become part of DHL Group's DHL eCommerce division. Under the agreement, DHL eCommerce will acquire 100 percent of the company's shares directly from Venipak Group's current owner, Nerijus Raudonis. After the transaction is completed, Raudonis plans to focus on the further development of the investment platform Stokex and its global asset management.

DHL STRENGTHENS ITS POSITION IN THE BALTICS

Venipak is a Baltic logistics and courier services company whose network includes approximately 800 parcel lockers, an extensive network of parcel pick-up points, and an operational parcel delivery service for both business and private customers.

With the acquisition of Venipak's shares, DHL eCommerce will gain a strong local delivery network in a region where the use of parcel lockers and other out-of-home delivery methods is widespread and e-commerce is on a growth trend.

After the transaction is completed, the integration of the companies will begin, during which Venipak will gradually become part of DHL Group's global logistics network while continuing to operate under its current brand.

The company's current management and employees will continue in their existing roles. In the coming years, DHL plans to invest in Venipak's employees, expand the company's parcel locker network, increase the sorting capacity of key terminals, and further develop its IT infrastructure.

Venipak's Baltic customers will gain access to DHL eCommerce's global network, including industry-leading parcel and return solutions and more than 165,000 parcel lockers and pick-up points.
