Changes in the composition of the Management Board of SEB Latvia

As of 1 November, there will be changes in the composition of the Management Board of SEB Latvia – Jeļena Cīrule will return to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of SEB banka Latvia and Kristaps Strazds, who stepped in as CFO during her absence, has accepted the next challenge at the Baltic divisional level. The new composition of the Management Board is approved by the European Central Bank, the Financial and Capital Markets Commission and the Supervisory Council of SEB bank.

Jeļena Cīrule joined SEB Latvia as Chief Financial Officer on March 2019. She has a broad experience in finance management both in retail and financial institutions in Latvia and abroad. Before joining SEB Latvia team Jeļena Cīrule worked as a CFO in Circle K Latvia for almost three years. She has also worked as the lead financial analyst at GE Capital International HQ in London. She holds a Master’s degree in economics from the University of Latvia.

Kristaps Strazds has been working at SEB banka Latvia since 1996 and has held managerial positions in such areas as cash management and trade finance, corporate banking, financial markets, as well as treasury management. During the previous year Kristaps performed CFO duties of SEB banka Latvia and was responsible for finance area, procurement, real estate, operations, treasury, as well as office management and document handling areas. Kristaps Strazds holds a Master's degree in international economic relations from the University of Latvia, as well as a business management degree (MBA) from the Riga Business School.

The Management Board of SEB Latvia consists of six people: Chairman of the Management Board Ieva Tetere, Head of Large Corporate Banking Ints Krasts, Head of Retail and SME Banking Arnis Škapars, the Board member responsible for AML and Compliance Māris Larionovs, the Board member responsible for Credit and Risk control Kārlis Danēvičs and Chief Financial Officer Jeļena Cīrule.
