BAKU - Azerbaijan expects to sign a new strategic partnership agreement with the European Union soon, Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmadov said.
"Preparations for an agreement between the EU and Azerbaijan are close to completion. I hope they will be completed in the near future, and we will sign a new cooperation agreement with the EU," Ahmadov said in Baku on Wednesday at a ceremony celebrating the completion of a project enhancing Azerbaijan's statistical service.
