RIGA - The Baltic Pavilion, representing Latvia and Lithuania, was visited by 500,000 visitors in the first three months of the World Expo 2025 Osaka in Japan, the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) informed LETA.
The Baltic Pavilion in Osaka is open until October 13.
Lasma Lidaka, General Commissioner for Latvia's participation in Expo 2025, said that visitors to the pavilion welcomed the concept of the pavilion and the way Latvia and Lithuania had decided to present themselves, showing not only the region's values, but also their understanding of how to present themselves on the Japanese market. Lidaka emphasizes that media habve also shown great interest in the pavilion.
As reported, Expo 2025 Osaka is the world's most important and largest national image-building and export promotion exhibition, with 160 countries and eight organizations participating. More than 28 million people from all over the world are expected to attend the international exhibition. The exhibition runs from April 13 to October 13 in Osaka.
Expo 2025 is a joint Latvian-Lithuanian pavilion, whose concept We Are One calls for awareness that everyone is part of this planet and it is everyone's responsibility to preserve it for future generations. The centerpiece of the pavilion is an interactive green glass wall symbolizing the interaction between nature, technology and people.
