Prime ministers of Baltic countries and Poland to meet in Tallinn May 8

TALLINN - The heads of government of the three Baltic countries and Poland will meet in the Estonian capital Tallinn on Monday, May 8.

The meeting on May 8 held in the framework of the Baltic Council of Ministers will bring together prime ministers Juri Ratas of Estonia, Maris Kucinskis of Latvia, Saulius Skvernelis of Lithuania and Beata Szydlo of Poland, spokespeople for the Estonian government said on Tuesday.

The topics to be discussed at the meeting are foreign and security policy, issues of energy and transport.

The Baltic Council of Ministers is the format for intergovernmental cooperation among Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. The council ensures the coordination and continuity of cooperation between the governments of the three countries.

Meetings of the prime ministers of the three Baltic countries within the format of the Baltic Council of Ministers are held at least twice every year.
