Lithuanian watchdog suspends broadcasting of Russian TV channel RTR Planeta for 3 months

VILNIUS - Lithuania's media watchdog decided on Nov. 16 to interrupt the broadcasting of the Russian TV channel RTR Planeta for three months for inciting war, conflict, and hatred toward countries. The Lithuanian Radio and Television Commission (LRTK) says that it is imposing the sanction, which will take effect next Monday and last until Feb. 21, after registering violations for the third time in 2016.
