Lithuanian dairy producers receive temporary support payments

VILNIUS - Lithuanian dairy producers that incurred losses due to the embargo imposed on milk products by Russia have received support amounting to EUR 5.33 million. These funds were distributed to dairy producers, a total of 31,000 farmers, by the National Paying Agency (NMA). The additional EUR 10.35 payment per tonne of milk sold in August-November 2014 was allocated based on the decree of the agriculture minister.
