Households’ purchasing power growing rapidly in Estonia

TALLINN - In the fourth quarter of 2014, average monthly gross wages were 1,039 euros (+5.3%, year on year). In 2014 as a whole, average gross wages increased to 1,001 euros (+5.5%). The deceleration in the growth of wages was anticipated as enterprises’ economic results were modest last year. During the first nine months of 2014, the latest datas establish a decrease by 1% for enterprises’ sales and total cost.
