  • 2016-05-26

On 26 May, from 16:00-18:00 at the Hotel Bergs LIIA organizes a presentation of the book and public discussion on Latvia-US cooperation in the realms of security and defense in English. It will gather such experts as the State Secretary of the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Andrejs Pildegovičs, Leo Michel from the Atlantic Council, a US think tank, and the President of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Aigars Rostovskis.

Printed book will be available for free during the event; the electronic version will be published on the LIIA webpage, www.liia.lv. Experts who have authored the new collection of articles on Latvian-US relations, offered by the Latvian Institute of International Affairs, not only highlight both countries’ strategic cooperation on security issues but also call for greater attention to economics and the role of the diaspora. The publication assesses the achievements of the last four years and offers recommendations for the future.
