Vilnius hosts Baltics' largest forum of restorers

VILNIUS – The Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania in central Vilnius is on Wednesday hosting the biggest forum of restorers in the Baltic states.

Held every three years, it's the most important event for restorers in the Baltic states, the palace said.

The event will be attended by specialists of cultural heritage, museums, libraries and archival restorations, art and historic collection curators, as well as young people studying disciplines related to the protection of cultural valuables and their professors. They will discuss the latest discoveries in this area.

Speaker will include researchers and restoration specialists from 19 countries, including Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, France, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Portugal, Norway, Japan, Hong Kong, the US, Ukraine, Moldova, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Russia.
