MOSCOW - Venezuela is ready to pay for supply of food and medications worth $2.5 billion and has sent a relevant offer to the EU contact group on Venezuela, Venezuelan Vice-President Delcy Rodriguez said.

"We have already said that Venezuela is able to receive the necessary financing to pay for its food and medications. We have talked with the European Union's international contact group and gave them a list worth some $2.5 billion. It is a list of food items that we are ready to pay for," Rodriguez said following a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow on Friday.
