TALLINN - US Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Andrea L. Thompson on Friday praised a meeting with Kadi Silde, deputy secretary general for defense policy at the Estonian Ministry of Defense, and Jonatan Vseviov, Estonia's ambassador to the United States.
"Always good to meet with our Estonian partners. Candid discussion with Estonia's Under Secretary for Defense Policy Kadi Silde and ambassador Jonatan Vseviov on cyber [issues], defense cooperation, the INF Treaty, and NATO solidarity," Thompson tweeted.
On Wednesday, Silde and Kathryn Wheelbarger, acting assistant secretary of defense for international security affairs at the United States' Department of Defense, signed a five-year road map of defense cooperation in Washington, DC .
