RIGA - Latvia's entry for this year's Eurovision Song Contest - the female ethno-pop group Tautumeitas, qualified for the final last night.
In the second semifinal in the Swiss city of Basel, Tautumeitas performed their song Bur Man Laimi, gaining enough votes to qualify for Saturday's finals.
Also qualifying from the second semifinal were the entries from Lithuania, Israel, Armenia, Denmark, Austria, Luxembourg, Finland, Malta and Greece, while Australia, Montenegro, Ireland, Georgia, the Czech Republic and Serbia failed to qualify for the final.
Meanwhile, qualifying from the first semifinal on Tuesday were the entries from Estonia, Norway, Albania, Sweden, Iceland, the Netherlands, Poland, San Marino, Portugal and Ukraine.
