Tallink took delivery of ferry MyStar - the most modern vessel on the Baltic Sea

RAUMA, Finland – At the delivery ceremony held today at noon at the Rauma Marine Constructions’ shipyard, in Rauma, Finland, Tallink Grupp took the delivery of the newest member and the brand-new flagship of the company’s fleet, fast ferry MyStar. 

The most modern vessel on the Baltic Sea, MyStar will set course for its home port, the Old City Harbour, Port of Tallinn, this Friday.

Participating at the delivery ceremony in Rauma Shipyard, Finland, were Paavo Nõgene, CEO of Tallink Grupp together with Tallink’s MyStar project team members; and Mika Laurilehto, Deputy CEO of Rauma Marine Constructions (RMC) together with the representatives of the shipyard.

According to the shipbuilding tradition, as part of the delivery ceremony, the Estonian national flag was hoisted on the ship’s mast of MyStar, symbolising the transfer of ownership of the vessel to Tallink Grupp.

MyStar will set course towards its home port, Port of Tallinn, this Friday, on 9 December 2022, and will arrive at the Old City Harbour’s Terminal D, quay 1, on Saturday, 10 December 2022 at 10.00 o’clock, local Estonian time.

The first commercial voyage of the most technologically advanced and energy efficient fast ferry on the Baltic Sea, MyStar will take place on 13 December 2022, departing from Tallinn to  Helsinki at 13.30 local time.
