Swedbank Group is most valuable company in Baltics

TALLINN – The most valuable enterprise in the Baltic countries is Swedbank Group and the Latvian state-owned energy group Latvenergo is more valuable than the Estonian state-owned energy company Eesti Energia, it can be seen from a study carried out by the investment bank Prudentia and the Riga stock exchange.

Prudentia and the Riga stock exchange on Wednesday presented the results of their study, according to which Swedbank Group is the most valuable company in the Baltic countries, with its value totaling 2.64 billion euros, it can be seen from the results of the study. The equity value of Swedbank Group is derived by combining the equity values of Swedbank Latvia, Swedbank Estonia and Swedbank Lithuania.

SEB Group placed second on the top 10 list with 1.92 billion euros and Latvenergo was third with 1.75 billion euros.

Of Estonian enterprises, Eesti Energia placed sixth with 1.42 billion euros and Tallink Grupp was seventh with 1.38 billion euros.

Lithuania's Maxima Group was fourth with 1.62 billion, Lithuania's Orlen fifth with 1.48 billion euros, Lietuvos Energija eight with 1.14 billion, Lithuanian Railways ninth with 986 million euros and Latvijas Valsts Mezi 10th with 893 million euros.
