STOCKHOLM - In a bid to bring the coronavirus pandemic under control, over 60 percent of countries around the world have adopted restrictive measures that threaten democracy or human rights, a report by democracy institute International IDEA said Wednesday. Latvia has been ranked among the 13 countries that have managed to combine health measures with a respect for democratic principles.
