RIGA - Over 6,000 persons participated in the annual Easter celebrations at the Latvian Ethnographic Open Air Museum over the weekend, the museum informed LETA.

The museum said that the good attendance was due to the favorable weather.

The museum said that, as in similar years, the festivities were attended by many families with children, and that the most popular activities were swinging, as well as painting and rolling Easter eggs.

The museum added that even though today will likely be slightly less attended than over the weekend, there are many persons expected to arrive to enjoy themselves at the museum.
