TALLINN - Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store will visit Estonia on Friday to meet with Prime Minister Kaja Kallas and President Alar Karis.

The two heads of government will give a joint press conference and visit the memorial to the victims of communism at Maarjamae, Tallinn.

The prime minister of Norway and Estonia's Climate Minister Kristen Michal will also participate in a roundtable on the development of offshore wind energy. On the same day, the presentation of a study on the possibilities for energy cooperation between Estonia and Norway will take place in Tallinn.

"Estonia and Norway are good friends and allies, we have many common interests. We are grateful to Norway for its active role in ensuring the security of our region. I also see great potential for our cooperation in implementing the green transition. When I visited Norway with a delegation of Estonian business executives a year and a half ago, Jonas Gahr Store and I decided to launch an analysis on how to take our cooperation on cleaner technologies and energy to a new level. During the Norwegian prime minister's visit to Tallinn, we will take stock of the progress made so far and look to the future together with business executives from both countries," Kaja Kallas said according to spokespeople for the government.
