TALLINN – The son of the Russian ambassador was arrested and fined for disturbing the peace over the weekend.

Konstantin Provalov, 22, reportedly attacked a bouncer at the Terrarium night club near Tallinn's passenger port at around 1 a.m. on Sunday morning. After punching the man in the stomach and shouting threats and other guards, the ambassador's son was handcuffed by the club's security guards and taken away by police.
At the station he reportedly continued his aggressive behavior, pounding the walls.
Police compiled a misdemeanor report and punished him with a fine of 180 kroons (11.5 euros) for disturbing the peace, BNS reported.Provalov was later collected from the police station by the head of security of the Russian Embassy in Tallinn.
A spokesperson for the North Tallinn police district said the offender expressed no complaints regarding the way police, who didn't recognize him, treated him.
"Nor did [he] say that he was the son of the Russian ambassador, and police learned about it only after one of the officers had recognized him," the spokesman said.
