MOSCOW - A new Russian party that analysts believe the Kremlin forged to steal support from the communists crashed onto the scene in an election that has all but destroyed the left opposition.Partial results showed the unheralded Motherland (Rodina) group led by left-leaning economist Sergei Glazyev and powerful centrist State Duma member Dmitry Rogozin shock the nation by grabbing a solid fourth place in elections with 9 percent of the vote.The bloc was created only three months ago by what analysts believe were hawkish Kremlin insiders keen to torpedo the Communist Party.
