Brazauskas, Social Dems biding their time

VILNIUS - Speaking Nov. 25 on national radio, Prime Minister Algirdas Brazauskas did not say whether his ruling Social Democratic Party would support President Rolandas Paksas, whose office is embroiled in scandals and who may face impeachment proceeding as early as December. Asked whether the Social Democrats would seek to keep Paksas in his position, Brazauskas said he didn't know. "I don't know. Everything will depend on the further development of events.
