Udre goes unpunished for illegal donations

RIGA - On Nov. 20 Parliament voted 27 to 12, with 49 abstaining, not to lift the immunity of Speaker Ingrida Udre, which would have subjected her to a 250 lat (380 euro) fine as leader of the Greens and Farmers Union, for her party's noncompliance in returning illegal campaign donations of over 50,000 lats.
