Teachers, cultural workers to strike in December

TALLINN - About 20,000 educational, cultural and other workers are expected to participate in a one-day strike on Dec.4 as a sign of protest against the government's rejection of a pay raise that they had demanded.As a result of the act, work is expected to stop for one day in most of the public schools, kindergartens, theaters, libraries, culture centers and museums, in a strike that is being arranged by the Confederation of Estonian Employees' Unions (TALO).Fallout from the strike could be amplified if the Confederation of Estonian Trade Unions, another union organization, decides to supp...
