VILNIUS - After getting off to a turbulent start, President Rolandas Paksas' presidency has recovered to assume a steady cruising altitude thanks to a series of high-profile meetings and tete-a-tetes over recent days. During the last week of September Paksas held several meetings with political rivals to iron out disputes that had dogged him in the first months of his presidency.
