Porcelain plot falls apart

TALLINN - Cooperation between Estonian and Danish police led to the capture last weekend of an International Monetary Fund employee who had stolen a valuable piece of porcelain from a Tallinn museum.The Peruvian woman, who carried a U.N. passport, was seized at Copenhagen Kastrup Airport in possession of a 19th century Chinese porcelain dish that went missing from the Mikkel Museum in Tallinn, Radio Free Europe reported, citing the Sept. 22 issue of the Danish daily Berlingske Tidende.The radio station said the woman visited the museum on the afternoon of Sept. 20, lifted the dish from the ...
