Repse frightens at flight controls

From wire reports, RIGA - As things turned out, Latvia's First Party was not the only group of politicians concerned about having Prime Minister Einars Repse at the controls. An attempt by an enthusiastic Repse to pilot a military helicopter with Lithuanian President Rolandas Paksas on board frightened both officials, according to the Lithuanian press.Paksas was on an official visit to Latvia to muster popular support for the Sept. 20 referendum.The Lithuanian daily Lietuvos Zinios reported on Sept. 20 that "The helicopter piloted by Repse was flying at such low altitude that, in the words ...
