Government set to confirm anticorruption chief

RIGA - The Latvian parliamentary committee charged with finding a person to headthe government's Bureau of Corruption Prevention and Control endorsed thecandidacy of security police investigator Juta Strike last week and proposedher name for full approval by Parliament.The post has been vacant since the departure of Guntis Rutkis last May forhealth reasons.
