RIGA - Livu Square is at the very heart of Riga's Old Town hectic social life. Throughout the long summer days, the handsome (and recently renovated) square is a kaleidoscope of beer gardens, parasols and colorfully dressed people. So the introduction of a large, industrial-looking public toilet nicely completes the picture. Given the quantity of beer consumption in the place, it was certainly long overdue. What makes this particular public toilet a little different from its counterparts, though, is it's the most expensive convenience of its kind in Latvia. The nine-toilet construction cost...
