VILNIUS - A summer of scandals involving top officials in the Lithuanian government continued in mid-August with the revelation of graft involving one of the chief administrators of EU funds.The daily Lietuvos Rytas reported on Aug. 8 that Evaldas Cijauskas, director of the National Payment Agency and the official directly in charge of allocating grant money from the EU's Special Accession Program for Agriculture and Rural Development, had given a contract worth several million litas to a firm that served as a personal creditor to his wife, Nijole Cijauskiene.The National Payment Agency is ...
