GOODBYE TO U.S. CHICKEN TRANSIT TRADE: Estonian forwarders will probably lose from November 15 the profitable business of shipping U.S. chicken to Russia. Vladimir Razumovski, head of the Estonian veterinary and food inspectorate's border service, said that under a decree of the Russian customs committee effective from Oct 27 chicken originating in countries which do not have a land border with Russia must be imported through Russia's own ports.
