Estonian bank robber escapes

TALLINN (BNS) - A 33-year-old Estonian man imprisoned in Norway for bank robbery has escaped by climbing over a seven-meter-high fence with a rope ladder, a news reports said.Ainar Kupp made his escape Oct. 28 from Ullersmo prison, Estonia's daily Postimees said.Prison warden Tor Peterson was unable to explain to journalists Oct. 29 how Kupp had managed to make his way out of the carefully guarded facility.Kupp, who was handed down a prison sentence of three years and three months in February for robbing a small-town bank of 160,000 Norwegian kroner ($20,800) last summer, made his way out ...
