TALLINN(BNS) - A group of experts have come out with a new explanation for the sinking of the ferry Estonia five years ago with the loss of 852 lives, claiming there must have been a big hole below the waterline on the starboard side of the ship.Presenting their findings at a conference in Glasgow, Scotland, Oct. 27, the group showed computer simulations suggesting that the Estonia could not have sunk in the position it did and as quickly as it did, after taking in water through the bow door as suggested by the international commission that investigated the 1994 disaster, the Eesti Paevale...
