Paper: EU interested in building bridge to Saaremaa

Baltic News Service, TALLINNThe European Union is backing the building of a permanent road link between Estonia's largest island and the mainland, providing a major boost to one of the country's most ambitious building projects ever. "The European Union has in principle come behind the project," Riho Sormus, director general of the Estonian National Road Administration, told the daily newspaper Eesti Paevaleht.
