Vike-Freiberga to breeze through election

RIGAIf there was ever a sure thing in politics, it's next week's presidential election in Latvia.President Vaira Vike-Freiberga, one of the country's most popular politicians, is standing for re-election and so far there are no challengers. Few expect any to emerge.In accordance to the constitution, the 100-seat Saeima (Latvia's parliament), not the public, will choose Latvia's next president on June 20.
