Report on Baltic minorities disrupts NATO assembly

RFE/RL PRAGUERussian minority rights in the Baltic states earned international attention once again as Russians attending last week's meeting of NATO's Parliamentary Assembly disseminated a report accusing Latvia and Estonia of mistreating their Russian communities. The Baltic countries dismissed the allegations, saying Russia is trying to keep the issue alive in a bid to derail ratification of NATO membership.
