Memorial to German troops, civiliansA memorial stone to remember German troops and passengers killed in the warship Fusilier was sanctified in the cemetery of German troops in the port city of Klaipeda on May 25. The transport ship Fusilier was sunk by the Red Army on Oct. 20, 1944, claiming the lives of approximately 300 German troops and civilians. Lithuanian officials and diplomats of the German Embassy floated wreaths at the ship's sinking place in the Baltic Sea.
