VILNIUSA city administrative area court suspended the powers of newly elected Vilnius Mayor Gediminas Pavirzis and Deputy Mayor Liberal Democrat Juozas Imbrasas on the basis that voting procedures had been violated. The court hearing decided to suspend the April 9 decisions that led to the election of a new mayor and appointment of his deputy. The ruling will be in force while the case is pending.
