New funding pursued for HIV prevention

TALLINNTen million U.S. dollars for AIDS prevention and treatment in Estonia may be available by this coming July from the Global Fund to Fight Aids, Malaria and Tuberculosis.Estonia's Social Affairs Ministry is currently finishing up negotiations with the Global Fund, a global public-private partnership that enables donor and recipient country governments to fight diseases, to procure four years of funding. According to a World Health Organization report issued March 18, Estonia should begin stepping up its AIDS prevention programs and prepare itself for a possible epidemic."The Global Fun...
