Baltic music takes center stage at prestigious Berlin festival

BERLINMusic from the Baltics will be heard in concert halls and club lounges in Berlin this coming weekend during the 2003 MaerzMusik Festival für Aktuelle Musik, the city's annual contemporary music festival. From a performance by the Latvian Radio Chamber Singers to the experimental combination of party music with the Lithuanian folk song tradition of sutartines, audiences will hear a broad range of sounds from the region.
