New president's advisers strike different note

VILNIUSPresident Rolandas Paksas has unveiled his team of advisers, many of whom were instrumental in his successful election campaign.The Paksas administration will include aides from a variety of backgrounds and will represent a virtual clean sweep of faces from the previous presidency.Perhaps the most controversial nomination went to Remigijus Acas, who will become national security adviser. Acas is the former director of a Lithuanian-Russian joint venture that owns a tractor factory in Belarus and has close ties to Jurius Borisovas, who was one of the largest contributors to Paksas' cam...
