VILNIUSLithuanian President Valdas Adamkus has conferred Lithuanian citizenship on a leader of the Chechen independence movement, provoking harsh comments from Moscow and exacerbating diplomatic tensions between the Baltic state and Russia.Earlier this week, Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus conferred Lithuanian citizenship on 52-year-old Aminata Saiyeva, who has been working as representative for the Chechen information office in Vilnius for eight years.
