RIGALatvia should consider amending its broadcast law by allowing a higher percentage of TV and radio programs in Russian, a top official at the Council of Baltic Sea States said.Council commissioner Helle Degn said additional Russian-language news programs that "present the Latvian perception of the news" would help integrate the country's large Russian-speaking minority."It might be better to inform people about Latvian news by having more broadcasts in two languages," Degn told The Baltic Times Feb. 18 during a two-day visit to Riga.
