Trafficking ring arrested

VILNIUSLaw enforcement officials said Jan. 14 that they have apprehended a group of individuals suspected of human trafficking in what is a major investigative success. Officers from the Organized Crime Investigation Unit and the Vilnius Police Department arrested the individuals - three men and one woman - in the belief that they have sold over 200 women into prostitution over the course of several years. Two of the detained men are known to belong to the Zemaitukai gang. The suspects were taken into custody after a successful secret operation held Jan. 10 near the Vilnius train station."W...
